CORE MISSION
Brigade is a Christian uniformed organisation with both international and interdenominational objectives, seeking to foster a better working relationship with local boys and girls in Kenya.
BOYS MOTTO: Sure, and Steadfast. Among boys, the brigade aims to advance the kingdom of Christ and promote habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self-respect, and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.
GIRLS MOTTO: Seek, Serve and follow Christ. The Girls’ Brigade aims to help girls become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through reverence, self-control and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment of life.
What Brigade Offers
Brigade has a structure that aims to provide knowledge and support to the children and the teens, that ensures the children get to grow wholistically. i.e. Socially, Educationally, Physically, and Spiritually.
At our church, the Brigade has continued to grow, and we are blessed to have more than 80 children actively enrolled in the program. Our members take part in worship, Bible study, drills, games, service projects, and many other activities that nurture both their faith and character.
Through the Brigade, they are trained in reverence, self-control, teamwork, and responsibility—virtues that equip them to serve God, the church, and the community faithfully.
To further enrich their growth, we run a structured badge work program that encourages learning and achievement in different areas of life. Children aged 6–12 years work through 27 badges, focusing on Bible knowledge, practical life skills, creativity, and service. Teens aged 13–18 years pursue 8 badges designed to build leadership, responsibility, and deeper spiritual maturity.
Most Recent Activities
We recently observed our Brigade Week from August 4th to 10th, guided by the theme “An Ever-Winning Servant” drawn from Isaiah 40:31. Throughout the week, our members engaged in worship, service, and fellowship, reflecting on what it means to serve God faithfully and steadfastly.
In the same month, we also conducted our Basic Training for both officers and children. This training was designed to equip and empower them with the knowledge, discipline, and leadership skills necessary to serve and lead effectively within the Brigade and beyond.
